Goodbye summer… hello fall! Happy November loves! I know we are well in to the fall season now, and so far I have had the most fun stocking up on all my must have fall essentials for this season. Prints, burgundy, flutter sleeves, courteroy…the list goes on and on! If you remember reading my fall wish list post from a few weeks back, then you may recognize several of these pieces that I’m so excited to share with you. Many of these pieces are perfect summer to fall clothing transitions (especially if you live in an area like me where it’s still 80 degrees some days)! But even if you live somewhere a little cooler, all these pieces will still work for you. By the way, I’m limiting this post to strictly clothing pieces. I promise to dedicate a future post to my must have fall accessories, otherwise this post will be waaaayyyy too long. So, let’s get started!
Striped elastic waist wrap dress
Ok, so I love this dress so much that I bought it in both black and burgundy! It’s a very flattering dress, especially if you have curves like me 😉 It’s long-sleeved with ruffle detailing. I love wearing this dress with boots, and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. This dress runs true to size and I found the material to be a lot more forgiving and stretchy. It’s currently 40% off from Express.
This romper is a fall must! It’s makes such a statement! If you’re like me and you like rompers then this is a good fall romper for your wardrobe. I wore it out a few weeks ago to a concert in San Antonio and it was the perfect fall outfit for a night out. The romper is black, with lace detailing on both the arms and back. It has a low V cut sfrom the bust to the stomach area so just know that your bra will show (must wear black bra) or if you don’t want your bra to show I suggest sewing in bra cups. I really love how well made the romper feels and looks. You can tell it’s good quality. It is more on the dressier side so again perfect for a night out or a fall party. Ruffle elastic waist wrap dress
I’m in love with this wrap dress!!! It’s fun, flattering, and flirty! I’m also really in love with this green color for fall, and probably will continue to be at least through the holidays. This dress style is very appropriate for the season. It’s long-sleeved, and has a V neck with a hook. There’s ruffle detailing throughout which definitely adds some texture to the piece. The material of the dress is polyester which I like because it dresses it up, but is unforgiving with little to no stretch to it so keep that in mind with sizing. I ordered my usual Express dress size, but ended up having to exchange up for a bigger size because I found it too tight in the bust area. If you love this dress it comes in black and red as well. Don’t be surprised if you see me wearing this is red too on Instagram because I plan on buying all the colors 🙂
This fall I was looking to add a corduroy skirt in multiple colors to my wardrobe, and this one from Dillard’s is a true winner! This Copper Key skirt is exclusive to Dillard’s. The material is stretchy and the front pockets are round and very practival. It comes in several colors like olive, navy, and tabacco. It’s mid rise and has a simple front button zip. This skirt is super comfy and you’ll be able to pair with it with so many different tops and boots.
Floral surplice bell sleeve romper
This romper is just perfect for an everyday casual fall look. It’s burgundy color and floral print makes it on trend for fall. I love paring it with flat walking boots or even a bootie heel. The overall fit is flattering because of its wrapped V neck, and cinched elastic waist. I also really love the three-quarter bell sleeve which gives it that fun flirty feel to it! Petite striped ruffle maxi skirt
This high low maxi skirt is actually part of a two piece set with a matching top, but it’s sold separately so I just purchased the skirt (the top is more for spring/summer). I’m a huge fan of high low skirts and dresses because I feel they give off a slimming illusion by adding dimension and texture due to the shape. This particular skirt is black with white strips and an elastic waist. It lays well along the waist and stretches to fit you. It has ruffle detailing along the hem of the skirt too and a flowy bottom. It is from Express’s petite line so if you’re 5″4 and under like me then it will definitely be flattering for you. This skirt is currently 30% off as well.
