Happy December! Can you believe fall is almost over and Christmas is just around the corner? I can’t. These last few weeks have just flown by with Thanksgiving and then Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Did you do any shopping over the holiday break? This year I sure did, but mostly all online. I started a few days before Black Friday and finished up late Cyber Monday night, and just wanted to share with you some of the great purchases I made. In fact, most of these pieces are still on sale for the holidays, which is great for you if you end up falling in love with some of the items I snagged. So, lets get started!
This is my new candy cane dress! It’s from Lulus, and is a show-stopping perfect dress for the holidays. I can’t wait to wear it for an upcoming Christmas party! The dress is a striped burgundy and gold color, and the material is shiny. It’s definitely an after 5 dress for sure, but you could still dress is down with a pair of casual boots. I will say that it does run a little big, so you may want to order a size down. The material is stretchy, and the waist is cinched with an elastic band. The dress also has the V neck wrap at the bust, which is very flattering. It also has a slight high low hem which adds some texture to it. One of the things I like about this dress is general is that it is super comfy, so you can definitely move around in it with no problem. This dress also comes in gold and black.
Purple Velvet Long Sleeve Bodysuit
This velvet bodysuit is also by Lulus. The description on their website says purple, but to me it’s more of a pink/fuchsia color. It has the surplice wrap V neck at the bust and is very fitted. The material is thick and of good quality. This is how I recently styled this bodysuit for my Grandparent’s 65th wedding anniversary. I paired it with a grey skirt and boots. It’s super versatile though. I also plan on wearing it with dark skinny jeans. If you like body suits and velvet, then you’ll love this top! I got a lot of compliments on it.
Black ruffle elastic waist wrap dress
I ordered this dress online and just received it, but haven’t had the chance to wear it out yet, but if you follow my Instagram or even this blog then you’ve already seen me wear it in both the red and green shade! Yes, this dress comes in three colors! I had previously bought the green and red color, but for Black Friday I purchased the black as well. This particular dress has a surplice V neck wrap front with a snap. It’s long-sleeved with an elastic cuff. The waist is also elastic, and the bottom of the dress is wrapped with ruffle detailing as well. The overall fit of this dress is fun, flattering, and flirty. For me, because of the material I had to order a size up from my normal Express dress size. If you are needing a good black dress to last you through the rest of fall and even in to winter then this is the one! You can dress it up or down. I plan on styling it with my new leopard purse from Express (you can see the break down for that purse here) along with the next item I will be discussing.
I cannot wait to wear these out! I had been eyeing them for a while on the Express website, and finally made the purchase during the Black Friday sales. They are offered in either a small/medium or medium/large size. They are full length, leopard print, and semi-sheer. They are just so versatile, because you can wear them with a dressed up or down look. I plan on pairing them with my new black ruffle dress this week while I shoot new Instagram content! You will be so on trend with these tights!
This skirt has such a fun cute fit and style to it. It’s an online exclusive only. It actually comes in red as well. It has an asymmetrical ruffle hem and side zipper. The front is split and the quality of the material is good. I like to have fun skirts like this in the mix because they bring a little more texture and dimension to a look. I plan on wearing this skirt a lot in the coming months, so be sure to follow me on Instagram to see how I style it!
This is the cutest graphic tee from the Express One Eleven line. It’s made from pure cotton, and is just perfect for layering. It has a crew neck, short sleeves, and is slim fitting. The color is bright red and says “Influencer” in white lettering across the chest. I wore it recently to a car show here in San Antonio paired with jeans and black boots, and it was a super fun comfy outfit. Again, I know it’s short-sleeved, but with the colder months approaching, I plan on layering it up with a blazer or jacket. Of course, with Christmas just around the corner I’m also very in to wearing red, so if you are too then this shirt is a cute option.
