Falling for Fall Transitional Rompers

Happy October friends! Can you believe it is already autumn time! From season to season, I always just wonder where the time went! By the way, I haven’t quite announced this on my blog yet, but if you follow my YouTube or Instagram then you already know that we are expecting baby number two! We are so excited, and I do plan on sharing more on this platform, so if you have any special blog post requests leave me a comment below. I was thinking about doing a pregnancy style haul, as well an entire post dedicated to how I style a modern nursery!

Anywho…this post is all about the beautiful and moody autumn season. It’s actually my first post of the fall season so very excited to dive right in. Truthfully, I’m definitely more of a spring/summer girl, but more and more now I am loving having fun styling my fall wardrobe. I’m dedicating this post to transitional summer to fall rompers. All these pieces I bought and wore during mid to late summer, but with the intention of still wearing them in the fall, so now as it gets a little cooler, I will just layer up if needed. So let’s get started!

Blue floral ruffle romper

How cute is this romper? One trend this fall season is darker floral prints. Well, that’s music to my ears because I happen to love florals in any season! This romper I just very recently bought from Express. It’s in a beautiful royal blue shade with a pink and white flower print. It sits slightly on the shoulder, but not quite all the way off, and has a small tie at the top that is adjustable. My absolute favorite thing about this romper is the sleeves. Ok, if I’m being completely honest, you will see that this is a common theme in my romper picks, but that’s mostly because I love how bell sleeves really add texture to a structural piece, as well as a bit of fun playfulness to the overall look too. The other thing I love about this romper is the flow of it. It gives it that easy breezy going look, and also a little stretch for comfort. On this day it was super hot, so I paired it with some sandals from Lulus. However, I plan on styling it again with white ankle boots! This romper is currently 30% off.

Black floral ruffle romper

Moving on to another beautiful romper from Express. This one is basically the same as the blue one, only a different color and flower pattern, but overall the same fit. The color is black with a white flower print, so basically a black and white ensemble. It has a gathered elastic waist and tie neck with a front keyhole cut out. It has long volume sleeves with ruffle accents. What I love the most about this one is that I feel like it can easily be dressed up or down. On this day out, I just paired it with some basic sandal heels from TOMS and my Gucci belt, but I could easily dress it up with some black high heels. This one is currently 30% off.

Blush pink romper

This next romper I bought around mid summer from Lulus. It just screams fall though, which was exactly what I was going for. It’s in this light pink plush color with an orange flower print on it. Can you say October? Yes, this romper is an October romper for sure! It has a lower cut V-neck and ties at the waist. My absolute favorite thing about this romper are the long bell-sleeves. They have the best fit and flare to them, and really make a statement. On this day I paired them with my nude sandal heels which are also from Lulus, but if you prefer a boot, then a tan ankle boot would pair great with it too. This Lulus exclusive romper is currently $52.

Lastly, I wanted to bring back this burgundy beauty! I’ve talked about it before in a previous post, but Express has carried it all year so I wanted to highlight it again because it’s just perfect for fall! Infact, I bought it last fall for our Los Angeles trip. It’s this beautiful maroon colored romper with a pink and red flower design. Again, the darker floral prints are in style for this autumn, so this one fits right in! It has three quarter bell sleeves, a V-neck, and cinches at the waist. What I love the best about this romper is the overall fit. The surplice wrap front and rayon material allow for a very flattering fit. On this day (on Rodeo Drive) I paired it with black booties and my Versace bag. This one is seriously one of my all-time favorites rompers, and is currently 40% off at Express. It looks like they are limited with sizes right now, but if you don’t see your size, keep checking back on their website because I have seen this romper offered in different sizes throughout the year depending on what Express has available.

So, which romper was your favorite? Leave me a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this fall style post. Don’t forget, you can always follow me on Instagram for daily lifestyle content. See you next post!
