Always chasing views! Living in Texas, there’s always something or somewhere to explore just around the corner. Last week, my husband and I took a short drive from San Antonio to Mount Bonnell in Austin, and the views were so worth it!

Goodbye summer…hello fall! Can you believe it’s already time for pumpkin spiced candles, beautiful fall foliage, and of course all the fall fashion our closets can handle? I can’t…and although I usually feel pretty lucky to reside in South Central Texas where the summers are long and the heat is intense for most visitors but not us locals, I’m actually really looking forward to this fall season. I’ve been doing a lot of window shopping to find all of my must have picks for the fall, and I have to say I’ve really come up with a great wish list that I’m happy to share with you to help a girl out!

Hi friends! A few Saturdays ago I traveled about an hour and a half from my home in San Antonio, Texas to climb the beast of a pink granite mountain called Enchanted Rock! This was my third time taking on the challenge. The first time was for an 8th grade field trip. The second time was for a sisterhood with my sorority in college. The funny thing is, I don’t really have a lot of memories from either of those occasions, which is another really great advantage to vlogging/blogging these days……getting the chance to experience everything and documenting it to share not only with the world but for my own personal diary as well.

“A room full of lights all to ourselves for 60 seconds!”
Last week my little family and I spend a beautiful Sunday exploring the McNay Art Museum. It had been years since I had been there. In fact, the last time was freshman year of College for an extra credit project, and before that was for a photoshoot! So yes, I guess you could say this was my first time really exploring this beautiful place in its entirety as an adult, and I’m so glad I got to experience the day with my husband and son!

“It’s like a small jungle oasis in the middle of a busy city!”
The Japanese Tea Gardens are an extension of Sunken Gardens, and located right next to the San Antonio Zoo. I love this place! I truly feel like it’s one of those hidden gems that most tourists do not know about, and many locals forget about. This is possibly because over the years it’s seen a significant restoration by the city. In fact, at one point I remember thinking it was closed to the public, although I don’t think that ever really was the case. I recently spent a morning exploring the beautiful Gardens, so in this post, I will feature some of the best parts of the park not to be missed!
