1…2…3 Let’s Selfie! If you are in the San Antonio area, I have a fun new Museum for you to check and out and explore. This past weekend I was invited to experience the newly opened Texas Selfie Museum in downtown San Antonio, and it was so fun! Some of you may have already seen my new google web story on my experience, but in case you missed it check it out here.
Thousands of twinkling Christmas lights lining the tress of the romantic San Antonio River Walk. The world’s largest boots lit up with Christmas stars overlooking holiday shoppers. A beautiful colorful Christmas tree that stands tall amongst a charming downtown park. From giant ornaments and reindeer, to the biggest light show in Texas! San Antonio is a Christmas lover’s dream with everything it has to offer. The city is romantic, family friendly, and Instagram worthy all at the same time, especially during the holiday season. As a local born and raised, here is my travel guide to the best things to see and do for the holidays in San Antonio, Texas. So sit back and enjoy!
“A room full of lights all to ourselves for 60 seconds!”
Last week my little family and I spend a beautiful Sunday exploring the McNay Art Museum. It had been years since I had been there. In fact, the last time was freshman year of College for an extra credit project, and before that was for a photoshoot! So yes, I guess you could say this was my first time really exploring this beautiful place in its entirety as an adult, and I’m so glad I got to experience the day with my husband and son!
“It’s like a small jungle oasis in the middle of a busy city!”
The Japanese Tea Gardens are an extension of Sunken Gardens, and located right next to the San Antonio Zoo. I love this place! I truly feel like it’s one of those hidden gems that most tourists do not know about, and many locals forget about. This is possibly because over the years it’s seen a significant restoration by the city. In fact, at one point I remember thinking it was closed to the public, although I don’t think that ever really was the case. I recently spent a morning exploring the beautiful Gardens, so in this post, I will feature some of the best parts of the park not to be missed!
