Halloween Decorating Ideas: A Modern Home

intro pic

Hello friends! Happy October! Where has this year gone? I can’t believe we are already out picking pumpkins and decorating for spooky season. Love it 🙂 Speaking of Halloween, we have always gone all out on decorating for the season. We love Halloween so much that we host it every year at our house. This will be the sixth year that we have hosted, and every year we try to add a little more décor and spookiness to the overall presentation.

Hi friends! I’m so excited to finally be unveiling Audrey’s nursery to the world! Just keeping it real, I should of done this post months ago because Audrey is already seven months, but perhaps this is better timing because there are a few little extras that we added over the past couple of months that I’m so excited to share with yall.

Strawberry Farm Picking in Texas – A Quarantine Getaway

Hi friends! I don’t know about you, but this quarantine life has really been testing me lately. Every spring/summer my family and I do a lot of traveling. This year that has not been the case obviously, but with social distancing on my mind we found a little quarantine getaway that managed to get us “out” of the house for a few hours while still avoiding the crowds. What’s the activity you ask? Strawberry farm picking!

Happy October friends! Can you believe it is already autumn time! From season to season, I always just wonder where the time went! By the way, I haven’t quite announced this on my blog yet, but if you follow my YouTube or Instagram then you already know that we are expecting baby number two! We are so excited, and I do plan on sharing more on this platform, so if you have any special blog post requests leave me a comment below. I was thinking about doing a pregnancy style haul, as well an entire post dedicated to how I style a modern nursery!

Best kept secret in South of France

ville 1

I adore the South of France. So much to see and do..an endless possibility of natural beauty, history, beaches, glam. So how do you decide what to see and do on a visit to the French Riviera? Well, that of course is subjective to your own wants and needs, however after having the chance to explore the area for over a week this past May with my husband and son, I can highly recommend a visit to the town of Villefranche sur Mer. I definitely did my research of best places to see and things to do in the area, so as you can imagine, I was overjoyed to have included this small beachside town on our schedule. It was sooooooo much more than I ever expected, and I was so touched by this small gem of a place that I was even inspired to write a whole blog post dedicated to sharing it with you. So what makes this place so special, and a must see place in the Riviera? As I break down my two visits here on my trip I think you will understand! At least I hope so 😉

Current Summer Accessories

summer

Hey guys! So, how are you enjoying summer so far? I have been loving it! Beach trips, the warmer weather, summertime events, and of course all the fun summer style this season has had to offer. I just don’t want it to end! Speaking of style, I have had way too much fun playing with summer accessories these last few months, and although I know a lot of people are already thinking about fall fashion coming up, I still prefer to hold on to summer a bit longer.

It’s Time for Spring Rompers

red romper

Spring season is here friends! That means warmer days and showing some legs with fun rompers for the season! I am a true lover of rompers. They are staples in my wardrobe in the fall, summer, and of course spring! Here’s what you need to know about rompers. They are comfortable, stylish, and extremely versatile. My suggestion is to invest in a good mix of styles, patterns, and solids, many of which you can re-use and crossover to other seasons. I’m so excited because I am re-vamping my romper game this season, and have recently purchased a few new rompers that I’m so excited to share with you. Several of these pieces are on sale, one of the items is even fifty percent off!

An Epic View from Enchanted Rock

en 5

Hi friends! A few Saturdays ago I traveled about an hour and a half from my home in San Antonio, Texas to climb the beast of a pink granite mountain called Enchanted Rock! This was my third time taking on the challenge. The first time was for an 8th grade field trip. The second time was for a sisterhood with my sorority in college. The funny thing is, I don’t really have a lot of memories from either of those occasions, which is another really great advantage to vlogging/blogging these days……getting the chance to experience everything and documenting it to share not only with the world but for my own personal diary as well.

Exploring the McNay Art Museum: I love my city series

“A room full of lights all to ourselves for 60 seconds!”

Last week my little family and I spend a beautiful Sunday exploring the McNay Art Museum. It had been years since I had been there. In fact, the last time was freshman year of College for an extra credit project, and before that was for a photoshoot! So yes, I guess you could say this was my first time really exploring this beautiful place in its entirety as an adult, and I’m so glad I got to experience the day with my husband and son!
